Some Commercial Software have special FREE license types for Educators,  Students, Hobbyist-Makers, Startups. Video provide List of software for  Design,  describe some limitations of free license

CAE:

U – are licenses for higher education institutions, Universities. “+” means completely free. “+/-” is at a big discount (compared to the commercial cost) and sometimes there are additional options to get the university for free.

“Student” means the availability of student versions. “+” is the official versions for students, legal and free. “+/-” is when “there is free version, but there are some nuances” (they are discussed in the video). “-” is something that does not have a student version as such (but sometimes suppose that a student can use “hobby”)

“Hobby” – similar to students, but for enthusiasts not related to education. “-” when there is no hobby license

All three licenses do not allow you to be used in commercial activities (unless otherwise specified in the license description)

Startup – gives the opportunity to engage in commercial activities. It must be not in the “freelance” style, but in the style of “productiondevelopment and sales of a new product” (not the development of new products to order, namely the development of something new for further own production as the main products of the startup)
