A lot of russian trolls and bots use narratives about how bad Ukraine.
For example that Ukraine a “Top10 Most Corrupted County in the World” or even “The Most Corrupted County in the World”.
They like to spread misinformation. And do it so effectively that many Western people (even from governments of some Countries) believe and repeat those statements.
It’s very sad because you don’t need a PhD degree to search and fact-check these false statements by finding for example those sources:
1. https://www.transparency.org/en/ – Rank of corruption from Transparency International
2. https://worldjusticeproject.org/rule-of-law-index/ ranks of corruption, level of justice etc., from World Justice Project
3. https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/corruption-rank corruption rank from Trading Economics
and many others. You can find it with Google without any problem
In the current Year Ukraine and russia have the next rank:
Ukraine – 105, russia – 154 from 180 where rank 1 – minimal corruption level, and 180 – maximum (Based on Countries numbers in Rank).
It means that “mother russia” is almost top25 most corrupted.
When Ukraine ~50 steps better
Ukraine is a post-soviet Country. We start from a very high level of corruption from the beginning of our independent history. We have only 6 presidents, and 2 of them try to become a dictator. During the governance of those half-dictators, corruption always increased. In one moment, we really were a “Top10”. But it was 25 years ago. Most of the time, we have a better situation than russia. Despite all efforts of russian muppets army, despite invasions, despite the war. We fought for a long and will continue fighting with them to become more civilized than the russian federation, which is a terrorist state.
